Day 28 York

Today we went to the park n ride into York it was a nice ride.  When we got there we first went for a walk to Starbucks were we could get some wifi to post our blogs.

We went to see the chocolate story which was very nice.  We learnt lots about the history of chocolate in York, and all the companies, and we made chocolate lollies.  We saw some demonstrations of making chocolate.  After that we went to the Jorvik centre were there was a ride round a reenactment of a village made by vikings, so it was petty cool.  Then after the big day we went home.

Day 27 - Edinburgh to York

Today in the morning we drove to a plane museum. I liked it, it was very fun and I saw one of the only Concorde’s left in the world. This museum was at an army/air force base. It was pretty cool in all the different hangers, with jets to gliders they had everything in the flying department.

The Concorde is the fastest commercial plane ever, it was faster than the speed of sound. Although it got shut down because it was costing way too much. One of its features is the nose of the plane, when it folds at a weird angel for speed. Me, Dad and Bryce joked with Mum because see has a long nose, in high school her neck-name was Concorde.  We had a nice lunch in one of the hangers that was turned into a cafe.

So finally we hit the road again and of course we went for a drive which ended up to be a four hour drive back down to York. When we got there we finished up in a little cottage and stayed their for the night.

Day 26 - Edinburgh

Today we went on the Royal Yacht BRITANNIA and the city majestic tour plus also Edinburgh Castle, this is how it happened. Enjoy!

For starters we went on yet another, yes another bus tour but this time it was the majestic tour bus. It was the longest one of them all but we only did some of it because we got off at the Royal Yacht BRITANNIA. It was the queens mobile holiday home but a boat. It is like a big cruse ship and I πŸ‘ it. Did you know that each year when it was running (it stopped running a while a go because of planes and costs to keep it running) it travelled over 1,000,000 miles. Each year it went so far as the equivalent of going round the world.  I got the adio guide for it. Me, Mum, Bryce and Dad had some morning tea on it. I had the Victoria sponge cake it was made and favoured by Queen Victoria.  For a drink I had a milk shake .

After the rest of the tour we hopped back on the bus to Edinburgh Castle.  It was very good it had a nice human live tour.  I saw the Scottish Crown Jewels.  There was a lot of history information in the tour and when we walked around, including about the Crown Jewels.  Then sadly it was time for us to head home and have dinner and go to bed.

Day 25 - Edinburgh

Today we did a city site seeing tour which went round the city.   It was like a big bus tour but not a big bus tour (different company form big bus).  We went round the whole red route.  I was swapping between the horible history's and the normal audio guide that was the good thing because it was not just the normal guide which was very nice.  I learnt a lot (and I mean a lot) it is a lovely city, lots of bridges.  After the tour we all went out of dinner at yet another amazing Hard Rock Cafe where I shared a sharing plate meal with Dad.

Day 24

Today we got up had breakfast, said goodbye to Mark, and loaded up the car yet again.  So I bet you have guessed what we're doing today, yes you got it, a road trip.  We had a long seven hour road trip today.  It so was boring but we stopped half way there for some lunch, we stopped at "MacDonalds".  Me and Mum had a "dip 'n share" 20 McNuggets, I ate most of it and most of the chips.  Dad had a spicy "McWrap" and Bryce had a kids meal (which I eat a bit of too), then it was time to hit the road. When we finally got there we all had a good look around the apartment.   It was very nice, the best apartment of the holiday so far. So it was time for dinner we went down the road to a super market (we were in the middle of the city) but the problem was we did not get dinner form there just some supplies which Mum and Bryce took back to the apartment, so me and Dad went for a walk to get some dinner, we got some nice Nandos Chicken.

Day 23

Today we had a full English breakfast with Me, Mum, Dad, Sue, Bryce, Mark, Jake, Kelsey, Laurie, Julie, Zoe and Lucy.  After that Mum, Sue and Julie went out to take Cooper for a walk.  While they were out the rest of us played some more sΓΌt cricket. Here were the top scores #1batsman me at 43/out, # 2batswoman Kelsey at 19/out, #3batsman Laurie at 17/out.  Top wickets #1 is me, #2 is Dad, #3 is Mark.  We all played for at least two hours if not more.  Half way though Mum, Sue and Julie got back. Mum and Sue went out again to get some ice creams for everyone. When they got back everyone had some ice creams. Then we carried on with the sΓΌt cricket.  Finally it was time for Laurie, Julie, Zoe and Lucy to go so they left.  Not long after Mark took me, Bryce and Kelsey down the road to a park, where me and Mark played football and a game of table tennis, I won both just, they where two very close games.   Then we went home and had dinner and bed.

Day 22 Cambridge

Today we took two cars to Cambridge park and ride and then caught the bus into town.  Me, Dad, Bryce, Mum, Sue, Mark, Jake, and, Kelsey met up with Laurie, Julie, Zoe, Lucy at the park ride place. We all went punting down the river Cambridge which Mum, Dad, Sue, Mark, Laurie, Julie, Graham and Katie did 17 years ago when Mum and Dad got engaged.  Punting on the river was very good we had a nice guide who let me have a go at it (it is a lot harder than you think). After punting we had a walk up the hill to a nice picnic place and just as we sat down it started to rain so then we had all to run as fast as we could down the hill to take cover under a good tree where we finished our lunch.  We met up with Graham, Katie, Tamsyn and Eliza were we set of to repeat a photo that all of the adults took on a bridge over the river that was taken 17 years ago, and do it again with the kids.  We did one of just the kids and just the adults and of course kids and adults together.  After that we all had a walk around town did some shopping and headed home
